Computer Privacy Digest
The Computer Privacy Digest (CPD) is a forum for discussion of the
effect of technology on privacy. The digest is moderated and gatewayed
into
the USENET news group comp.society.privacy. This forum was set up to
discuss the effect that technology has on privacy. The forum is sent
out in a digest format. Submissions to the digest should be sent to
comp-privacy@uwm.edu and
administrative trivia to comp-privacy-request@uwm.edu.
CPD maintains an archive site for material of general interest that is
too long to post. We also maintain all back issues of CPD for those
who wish to peruse issues that have passed. These issues are ordered
by issue number and are stored in appropriate volume directories.
These issues can now be viewed through the web in our archive area.
Archives are no longer held at the address of the
former moderator, Dennis Rears.
The Privacy Icon shown to the left signifies the attitude of
a web site that indicates that the material in that site
will not abuse the privacy of those who use and visit the
site. Of course the CPD honors that policy.
The standard of that group
should be respected by anyone using the icon.
