Obtaining CEAS Accounts

Who

All CEAS majors are are eligible for an "indefinite" account in the CEAS labs. Upon admission to the College of Engineering and Applied Science, a student is eligible to select a major ( Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering). If a student has not selected a major and wishes to do so, it is necessary to complete the form available in the office of the Associate Dean (EMS 3rd floor).

Once a student has selected a CEAS major, that student becomes eligible for an "indefinite" account, which lasts for the duration of his/her enrollment at UWM.

How:

To get the account, complete the answers to the following questions and submit the form. Telephone requests will not be accepted.

Your name as it appears on your registration form.

@uwm.edu: Your alpha email address. This will also be your login.

6) What do you want your initial password to be set to?
You should select this with care. Passwords found in a dictionary are not safe. The best password is one which is long and "random".

REMINDER:
Users should select passwords that are as "random" as possible. Passwords that can be found in dictionaries and lists can be cracked. Users are also reminded to not give their passwords to anyone else. Accounts should be used only by the person to whom it is granted.
